Sorobon Beach Resort is with Kontiki Beach Club the only hotel on the East Coast of Bonaire. Both are serviced by Wannadive, and wannadive has a service point at Sorobon Beach Resort.

Sorobon Beach Resort has a different set up than any other resort on Bonaire. Its accommodations exist out of beautiful individual cottages only, thirty in all. The cottages are divided in one and two bedrooms and are completely furnished, with well equipped kitchens and AC in the bedrooms. All cottages are directly situated on a gorgeous beach, all with ocean view surrounded by a lush, mature tropical garden. At Sorobon a whole range of activities other than diving are available, such as windsurfing, horseback riding, bicycling, birding and more

The Resort is right on the shores of stunning Lac Bay, a very special natural area. The bay is closed off by a barrier reef, so the water is very calm. The bay is very shallow, with a smooth sandy bottom, so you can actually walk to the barrier reef and enjoy snorkeling there. The bay is fringed by a mangrove forest, which is a nursery for all reef dwellers on Bonaire. The result is an incredible array of marine life as well as a myriad of birds.

Sorobon also has a beautiful wooden decked Beach Bar, for a refreshing drink and an excellent restaurant with international kitchen.

Wannadive has a service point at Sorobon. Available are an easy pick up/ drop off for tanks, rinse basins, showers, a retail store, rental and repairs. From here we organize our (guided) dives to the East Coast of Bonaire. The diving on the east coast is considered the best and most spectacular diving on Bonaire, and perhaps of the entire Caribbean, but can be quite challenging because of the exposure of the trade winds, and so our service point is also the meet and departure point of the boat dives with East Coast Divers, with whom Wannadive has a close cooperation. East Coast Divers operates a massive rigid inflatable boat that easily handles the relatively rough seas on the east coast. While the shore diving on the east coast is for the more advanced, the boat of East Coast Divers make the dives there accessible to all certified divers.

Because Sorobon is at the wild side we do not offer the courses @ this location.
