Our Crew

Roeland hails from the Netherlands and is ordinarily called Bob because his name is not the easiest to pronounce, for anyone but Dutch speaking people. Bob had been diving professionally on Bonaire for years prior to opening Wannadive with Bart. Bob is a multilingual dive instructor and guide. He thoroughly loves his job. More important, he is capable of bringing his love of diving across to his guests. He knows Bonaire’s dive sites like his back pocket and loves to show you around. His favourite dive on Bonaire: Just a nice Dive on Klein Bonaire
Like Bob, Bart had been diving professionally as a dive instructor for years before he started Wannadive with Bob. Bart has been a very active member in the nature conservancy and community groups, serving on the boards of FPKB, STINAPA, CURO, STCB and BONHATA. Bart can teach in four languages, but rather ‘speaks’ dive signal language. His favourite dive on Bonaire: Lac Cai on the East Coast.
Kim used to be the supervisor of the small, budget friendly hotel, Bart and Bob used to run. When they sold the place Kim decided she wanted to keep working for them and so moved to the dive shop. Now Kim basically supervises all of Wannadives’ paperwork and tries to keep the books of those beach bums that operate Wannadive, in good order. Needless to say Kim has the most difficult job available at Wannadive. Although not diving professionally she DOES love diving and so Wannadive employs the only diving bookkeeper. Kim’s favourite dive on Bonaire is Something Special
Jeffrey was a professional head chef and a very good one! While cooking at night, he got infected with the dive bug during the day! Volunteering no less than a year at one of our locations, he climbed the PADI ladder and eventually became an instructor. We immediately hired him, obviously foregoing the probation period! Jeffrey kept on educating himself, and became a SSI, WOSD and SDI/TDI instructor as well and is now also the Wannadive Tec Diver. His favourite dive on Bonaire: The Windjammer.

Emma dove the world as well, before she ended up at Wannadive. Like Jeffrey and Fred she followed and passed Wannadives’ divemaster internship program. She also became an instructor on Bonaire and Wannadive offered her a job even before finishing. Emma is a licensed nurse. We guess we are in safe hands! Emma’s favourite dive site on Bonaire: White hole by boat.
The following folks do not really work for Bonaire although one couldn’t really tell. You are likely to meet them happily performing the crappiest of shop jobs as long as they are allowed to steal our coffee, drink our beer and above all dive! They are all experienced dive masters, regularly strengthen our crew, and are part of the Wannadive furniture!

Bonnie
is American, lives on Bonaire and she is a licensed nurse as well. She provides our crew with scrumptious food during the daily morning coffee brawl. Her favourite dive on Bonaire is Salt City
Andy is our crazy Englishman. He is one of those all around charming guys, and fits just perfectly into the noisy fun crew-clamour, Wannadive exerts every day. His motto: Dive to live, live to dive! His favourite dive on Bonaire : Forrest to SW Corner drift dive on Klein
Sal is one of our hardest working guests. When he is on island you can bet on it that the dive shop is already clean before the ‘regular’ crew even arrives. Sal is one of Wannadives’ first and most faithful ‘guests’ His favourite dive on Bonaire: de spoelbakken (the rinse basins) at Eden Beach resort!
