Wannadive is proud to be sponsor of Linomar Isebia, one of many talented young native Bonairian kids that compete in the international arena of the pro kids windsurfing competitions.
Since 2005 Linomar has been competing with his sails and boards at numerous highwind competitions and regattas. He is 16 years old and has already won major inter-island windsurf competitions like the 2006 & 2007 highwinds at Eagle Beach, Aruba and also our own Bonairian Regatta in 2006.
Wannadive provides Linomar with basic materials and clothing and tries to get Linomar at as many tournaments as possible around the Caribbean and the globe! He already is great at what he does but also very eager to get better and keep learning and improving his skills on the board.
We will keep you posted on Linomars next achievements and victories in the near future. |

dive magazines12-05-2008
At Wannadive we are very proud to be in the 2 leading scuba diving magazines of the USA and Holland.
The first one is the May 2008 edition of Scuba Diving Magazine in wich Bonaire is mentioned in the '2008 World Dive Guide' feature. Some of the prettiest divesites on our little island are described. At the end of the article Wannadive is mentioned for its east side dives and the knowledge of all other activities on Bonaire besides diving. Check out the following link to read it for yourself or race to the shop to get a copy of the May edition of Scuba Diving Magazine! http://www.scubadiving.com/travel/general_travel/2008_world_dive_guide
The second article is found in 'Duiken'. In the Netherlands and Belgium the best known dive magazine. In its May 2008 edition was an article about the Humpback whale seen at the east side of Bonaire last february. Picture courtesy of Patrick Beijk.
And wasn't it Wannadive who had this picture on it's website 2 months before the magazine came out!? http://www.duiken.nl/ |

Congratulations to Fred & Ilse with the birth of their babygirl Julia. Julia wasn't in a hurry to come to this world, she was 2 weeks late but there she finally was this afternoon. Born on Curaçao at around 1.30 PM, Fred & Ilse couldn't wait to come back home to Bonaire and show her off to the family who came all the way from Belgium so the 3 of them came home the same night. Everyone is doing great! |
Patty's Lasagna Dinner15-04-2008
| We would like to dedicate this picture to Patty.
She is responsible for our traditional yearly lasagna night. She cooks up lasagna for about 25 people (even though it's only really 12 of us, must be because she married an Italian man ...) , gets lots of cold drinks and invites the whole crew ... this year (last march) the party was held on the famous Wannadive Hut rooftop.
Patty & Sal, thanks a lot, masha danki for all the lovely thing you do for us!!
